JC Curb Appeal LLC is a Veteran-owned and operated business proudly serving Fuquay-Varina, NC and the surrounding communities throughout Wake, Harnett, Johnston and Lee counties in North Carolina. Owners Jason and Cristin Snook made the decision to transition from careers in healthcare to pursue JC Curb Appeal full time. Together, they are raising three boys and have built the company around the values of hardworking, craftsmanship, integrity and exceptional customer service. What began as a way to build something meaningful for their family and teach their boys the value of hard work has grown into a business they are proud to call their own. Will the curbing equipment damage my property?
No! Our landscape curbing equipment is compact and no larger than typical lawn equipment. We take great care while working on your property and treat every landscape as if it were our own. Our goal is to leave your property looking even better than when we arrived.
Is the curb stained or painted?
Neither. We use integral color that is mixed directly into the concrete, so the color runs throughout the curb rather than simply coating the surface. We also use colored release agents to create beautiful undertones and added dimension. Because color is integrated into the concrete, minor chips are less noticeable than they would be with a painted surface.
Will it crack?
Concrete can crack, but our mix is specifically designed for landscape curbing rather than slabs or sidewalks. We install control joints to help manage where cracking may occur. If a crack develops, it will typically occur within a control joint where it is less noticeable. We also install stainless steel cable throughout the curb to help keep it secure to prevent any separation or movement.
How long does landscape curbing last?
Concrete landscape curbing can last for 20 years plus with proper care and maintenance. To protect the color and finish we apply a commercial grade solvent based concrete sealer after installation. We recommend resealing your curbing every 1-2 years to help maintain its appearance and protect it from moisture. Homeowners can reseal the curb themselves, or we can help with ongoing maintenance if preferred.

Additionally our concrete mix is designed specifically for decorative landscape curbing, our mix includes fiber reinforcement, plasticizers, and air-entrainment agents for added strength and durability. We also install continuous stainless steel cable throughout the curb to help reduce separation and movement over time. These details can make a significant difference in the strength, appearance, and longevity of your landscape curbing.
Do you use regular concrete from a concrete truck or bagged concrete?
Neither. We mix our concrete on-site using a mix specifically designed for decorative landscape curbing. Our concrete is engineered for strength, durability, and the unique requirements of continuous landscape borders.
